The SYDNEY MODEL AUTO CLUB was formed over 30 years ago, by a group of model collectors. The aim of the club is to provide an informal and friendly meeting place for collectors to indulge their hobby. The club publishes a magazine covering club activities, model reviews and general articles relevant to our hobby. SYDNEY MODEL AUTO CLUB runs the largest regular monthly GRANVILLE TOY & HOBBY FAIR in Sydney. We can be contacted by e-mail at SydneyModelAutoClub@hotmail.com
Please visit our Facebook page for an up to date view of the club's activities
Club meetings are held once a month, in addition to the GRANVILLE TOY & HOBBY FAIR. Each month members are invited to bring, for display, models relating to a suggested theme. The theme nights vary to cater for a wide variety of interests. Some nights we have over 200 models, of varying scales, on display. The club has an extensive library of books and periodicals, which can be borrowed by members, relating to models and autos generally.
The two pictures below were taken on a club night with "fuel companies" as the theme.
As the picture below shows, some models on display have no relation to the suggested theme for the night. This is just great, because some really interesting models turn up, like this Australian made Ferris Suburban train for example.
Club meetings are held at 7:30pm on the first Wednesday each month at the Western Suburbs Australian Rules Football Club (Magpie Sports), 40 Hampton Street, Croydon Park, Sydney. Visitors are always welcome.
SYDNEY MODEL AUTO CLUB runs the GRANVILLE TOY & HOBBY FAIR on the second Friday night each month. There are 80+ tables providing everything for the enthusiast. Model Cars, Trains, Boats, Planes, Dolls, Toy Soldiers, Model Kits, Books, Toys, Collectors Cards, Dinky, Corgi, Trax and Matchbox.
The GRANVILLE TOY & HOBBY FAIR is held at The Holy Family School, The Trongate, Granville. (Near Hudson Street) on the dates listed below.
